How to get started in nursing school
How do you get started going to nursing school?
The first step is to find a local college or university that offers a nursing program. Then set up a meeting with a counselor. Be sure to take in your transcripts with you if you have previous college experience, they can tell you what general ed classes you need before applying to the nursing program. Most nursing programs have a wait list. Some up to 2 years or more.
Enroll yourself in the nearest college and begin your nursing school prerequisites. You will be taking classes for 1-2 yrs before you even start nursing school. You can probably work and do classes at night depending on the school. Once you begin nursing school, you may need to stop working or go part-time so plan accordingly.
